Colleagues Saddle Up For Charity Challenge

Colleagues at Craven Dunnill are preparing to saddle up for a charity cycle challenge across Shropshire and Powys next weekend.

Six of our team are taking part in the popular Pedal The Borders event in aid of Lingen Davies Cancer Fund.

Melanie Ullah-Whettall and Sarah Stokes will complete the 25km course, which starts at Oswestry and climbs to Trefonen, before dropping back down to the village of Llansantffraid and returning to Aico through Maesbury.

Simon Howells, Harry Dayus, Mark Whettall and Darren Crosby, meanwhile, are bracing themselves for the tricky 100km course over Rodney’s Pillar and back to Oswestry.

Craven Dunnill last took part in Pedal The Borders in 2021.

HR Manager Ruth Joesbury said: “We love getting involved with Pedal The Borders. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our team members to socialise, get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful Shropshire and Mid Wales scenery.

“But more than that, it’s an opportunity to show our support and raise some funds for Lingen Davies, which is a small, local charity that does tremendous work for those people affected by cancer.

“Almost everyone has been impacted by cancer either directly or indirectly, so we like to demonstrate our support for the charity whenever we can.”

Supporting the local community is a core principle of Craven Dunnill, whether that’s through providing fun educational workshops for children, via sponsorship or through charity work.
