POSITION: Marketing Manager (Maternity Cover)
COMPANY: Craven Dunnill Group
CONTRACT: Fixed-term contract (6 months initially)
LOCATION: Craven Dunnill Head Office, Bridgnorth, Shropshire
COMMENCING: November 2020

This fixed-term role will be responsible for managing all marketing and communications
activity across the Craven Dunnill Group and its associated brands – Craven Dunnill &
Co, Craven Dunnill Jackfield, Craven Dunnill Project Ceramics, and Tile Shack.
Craven Dunnill has an unrivalled reputation for the manufacture and supply of fine
ceramic tiles, offering a complete service for all domestic and commercial tile supply
needs. The Company has nearly 150 years of heritage, and this role will take overall
responsibility for brand management and corporate identity.

• Manage all aspects of marketing and sales support, to include activity planning, brand
management, promotional campaigns, product launches, price lists, and budgeting
• Ensure all activity is delivered on-brand and with consistent and appropriate messaging
• Promote the Company values through all communications internally and externally

Strategy & Planning
• Plan, manage, and evaluate marketing activity across the business to optimise commercial performance
• Manage and implement a marketing plan to drive sales and build customer awareness
• Oversee the effective delivery of the marketing plan according to the agreed budget and timelines
• Explore and propose potential partnership opportunities for the Company
• Convey a premium and prominent brand position across all communications
General Marketing
• Manage the in-house production and timely distribution of customer product price lists
• Take ownership for and maintain the Company’s media library, sourcing product promotional materials from partnering suppliers
• Oversee the production of all in-house and external marketing materials and creative
• Work closely with 3rd party design and PR agencies
• Plan and promote all new product launches
• Manage the effective distribution of all marketing materials where required
• Oversee the resolution of customer issues as they may arise in a timely, efficient, and effective manner
Digital Marketing
• Oversee, manage, and update all CD group websites on a regular and ongoing basis
• Work closely with 3rd party web development agencies
• Support promotions through social media channels, generating and managing content as required
People Management
• Line management of the Online Marketing Assistant and Retail Showroom team, monitoring and tracking ongoing performance
• Manage departmental KPIs where relevant, using defined metrics to review and assess performance
• Maintain effective internal communications to ensure teams are kept informed of marketing activity where required
• Support the company’s proactive stance to sustainability, ensuring all marketing activities are as environmentally-friendly as possible
• Strong planning skills and experience in handling multiple projects through to delivery
• Commercial acumen and understanding of the importance for marketing and communications in a business
• Proven track record in budget management
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport quickly with employees across the business
• Solid understanding of website management, with knowledge of WordPress management software preferred
• Excellent computer skills including Excel, Word & PowerPoint
• Previous experience in a similar role
• Expectation to carry out any other duties that may reasonably be required in line with the main duties above
